Common Image Resize Use Cases

Resizing images is one of the most common image editing tasks. Developers resize images for responsive web design and API requirements. Designers resize for social media specifications. Photographers resize to reduce file sizes for sharing. E-commerce merchants resize product images to consistent dimensions.

Understanding Resampling Algorithms

When resizing an image, the software must calculate new pixel values — this is called resampling. Different algorithms give different results. Lanczos (Sinc) resampling produces the sharpest results and is best for most use cases. Bilinear gives smooth, slightly softer results and is faster. Nearest neighbor is the fastest but produces blocky results, useful only for pixel art.

Supported Formats

This tool accepts PNG, JPG/JPEG, WEBP files up to 20 MB per file. Process up to 20 images per batch.
