iLovePNG is designed with privacy as a core principle. All image processing on this website happens directly in your web browser. Your images are never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never seen by anyone other than you.
What Data We Collect
Images: We do not collect, store, or transmit your images. All image processing uses the JavaScript Canvas API running in your browser. Your images exist only in your device's memory for the duration of your browser session.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymized usage analytics (page views, tool usage frequency) to understand how iLovePNG is used and improve the service. This data does not include any personally identifiable information.
Cookies: We use only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
How Your Images Are Processed
When you upload an image to any iLovePNG tool, the following happens:
- The image is read by your browser's JavaScript engine using the File API.
- The image is drawn to an off-screen HTML Canvas element in your browser's memory.
- The Canvas API processes the image (compression, resizing, conversion, etc.).
- The processed image is made available as a download from your browser's memory.
- When you close the browser tab, all image data is automatically cleared from memory.
At no point in this process are your images sent over the internet to our servers or any third-party service.
Third-Party Services
iLovePNG does not currently integrate any third-party services that access user-uploaded images. If we add analytics or advertising services in the future, we will update this policy accordingly.
Data Security
Because your images are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted to external servers, the primary security risk is your own device. We recommend using iLovePNG on devices you control and trust.
